Mile End Park is in the london borough of Tower Hamlets, a borough steeped in history and which includes Bethnal Green, Victoria park, Isle of Dogs, Canary Wharf, Bow, and Whitechapel amongst other famous London areas that make up most of the East End of London. Information on Tower Hamlets

Mile End Park follows the Regent’s Canal from Victoria Park to Limehouse Basin. It is described as a linear park of some 32 hectares and was created on industrial land devastated by World War II bombing. An interesting feature of the park is that some of the park is separated by roads, railways and waterways, which breaks it all up a bit (in a nice way!).

I am keeping a slow but steady pace for the next few park runs as i really dont want to injure my knee or hamstring again. Seems to be paying off so far, and the hamstring only really niggles when i am pushing the speed up on the treadmill in the gym. So another four or five runs at an easy pace and i think i’ll be ready to up the ante a bit.

Here I am with the run director at the finish line.
